A Family Lake Session

This past month I had the opportunity to take pictures for my nieces little family of 3. We decided to get our adventure on and take the pictures at Lake Cushman in Hoodsport Washington. This lake is one of my favorites and the scenery is amazing, there isn't a non-pretty area on this lake. We put on flower crowns and a flowy dress and got to taking some shots with the mountains in the background. The mountains are so pretty with all the green trees lining the tops of them and the lake is huge and there are so many places to explore there that is made finding places to shoot easy.

She is a fellow photographer as well and I know how hard it is to find someone that you actually want to document your life with. The decision isn't an easy one but I feel honored that she has chosen me to be her go to photographer for all her life events. It has been so fun to watch her and her husband go from dating, to being engaged, to being married and then having a little one of their own. Their little girl is an absolute doll and I am so glad that we get the chance to raise our kids together. Her little one is right inbetween my two boys and I know that they will get to grow up together and be close friends with each other. She and I have had a fun time doing this parenthood thing together, it is a trying and joyful road and you really need people in your life that gets it and is in the same place as you with parenting. There have been more then a few times that we have contemplated making "wine Wednesday" a thing and leaving our husbands to fend for themselves with the kids. Wait...Why haven't we done this yet?! Its Thursday today...Maybe we can do "wine Thursdays" as well. This really sounds like a good plan lol.

All kidding aside though, it has been great to watch her become a wife and a mother to her family and she has done it well and with grace. It has also been great to watch her develop her skill as a photographer through the years and I am glad that we can share that common interest and maybe one day we will get to collaborate together as a team in our photography endeavors. I am happy we get to do this together and that we have gotten closer since we have become parents. She also happens to live about 15 minutes from me so that makes things a lot easier to plan to get together when you live close! Her family is a cute one with the sweetest, high spirited little girl with a sense of adventure that you will be envious of. Her husband is a hard working, fun, sports loving guy that goes along with his wifes/wifes aunt crazy photography ideas-In the lake we go guys!
