A Valley Meadows Tour

I got to tour the Valley Meadow Weddings and Events venue at the end of April, here is what I love about it! Upon driving up to the venue, the house is amazing, it is a two-story yellow house that has a great front porch that would be a great place to take pictures on the big day! It has a rustic vibe that I am in love with and they have a bunch of repurposed equipment that they turned into planters that I am envious of! It has ample parking on the side when you drive up towards the house. In the back of the house there is the main area of use that has the meadow with these cute little purple flowers everywhere. The meadow leads down to the enclosed pavilion that they just got done working on. It is a great covered area for dancing, putting a cake table, dessert table or the bar. I image having tinkle lights all strung up on the inside with sheer fabric drapping everywhere to create a magical look. The outside of the covered area has a cute trellis that they have clamatis climbing up it, which will be gorgeous when its covered and has a thousand blooms on them. I love the rustic planters they have on the front of the pavilion as well and they have a cute old bike as a planter that is great. The place has a great family history of weddings and I love that they are using a space that already has so many special memories for them. It truly makes this adventure for them a labor of love and something that they hold close to their hearts already, which I feel, makes for great people to work with when planning your wedding day since they have been there and have experienced it and their wedding day will forever be apart of the space. To the side of covered area there is an arbour that would look amazing with a bunch of flowers all on it, it is a great place for the ceremony to take place.

As you walk back up towards the house from the meadow and covered pavilion you can make your way up to the bridal suite. They converted their back porch to be the home of the suite and it has amazing lighting in it, which is always needed for a bridal suite to get ready in. They have put the cutest furniture in it and a bunch of mirrors and its a really great space for the bridal party to get ready in. I love that while getting ready the photographer will have a great space to catch those getting ready moments of the bridal party without having to worry about what is in the background, they did a great job in setting it up to look and feel like a nice space to get ready in. Once the bridal party is ready and the ceremony is about to start they just walk right out and down the steps that lead right towards the meadow, which is also a great opportunity for the photographer to get the shots of the bridal party coming down the steps. It makes for a grand entrance for the bride as well!

After the tour of the main ceremony/reception area we made our way to the side of the house where they have their chickens and goats! We got a chance to meet the friendly goats Mo and Burberry and they were super friendly and fun to pet! The owners have the sweetest little girl who got in the fence to play with the goats while we were petting them and they seem to love her! It was very cute!

That concluded the tour of the venue. The place is a really great lower budget option for the DIY bride that would like a blank canvas and flexibility in her options for the big day to add her own personal touch. Its located off Central Valley in Poulsbo and the owners of the venue are very flexible and accommodating to what the party needs and how they want to decorate the space. It has been home to numerous family weddings and events already and it can accommodate a large party of 300+ guest without a problem. The pricing for the venue is lower then most comparable private venues in the area since it is the first season they are open for weddings and events. I was able to get some pictures of the space while I was there touring the area and I got a tour from Stephanie who is one of the owners of the venue. She is so nice and was very flexible in her schedule for me to come out to get a tour, I got a chance to chat with her and ask a bunch of questions regarding the venue that she answered with ease. It is a great venue and I hope to be able to photograph weddings there in the future. I saw ample spaces and locations that would be great for taking pictures for weddings on their property. The places they have set up are all really great and won't be a distraction in the pictures but rather enhance them in a positive way.
